Cryptocurrency Exchange

Kurrent engaged INNOV8 to lead the design, architecture, and development of a realtime blockchain-based cryptocurrency exchange. Per the client’s requirements, the application needed to be user-friendly, aesthetically pleasing, extremely secure, and highly scalable.

After considering the client’s needs, we recommended a microservices architecture using Kong Enterprise API Gateway, Kubernetes, Amazon MQ + ActiveMQ, MS SQL Server, AWS, React, React Native, and Redux, with WebSockets and Web Workers carrying realtime market and trading data. Compliance and identity integrations: Auth0 (authentication), InAuth (device identification + verification), and Socure (identity verification).

INNOV8 provided full digital-agency services including branding, web and mobile application UX and creative design, and full-stack web and mobile architecture and development. The exchange was built on the Nexus Earth coin; during development the underlying coin’s price collapsed from $60+ to sub-cents and the project was cancelled before launch. (Not to be confused with the contemporary Kurrent KURT cryptocurrency — different entity, no connection.)
