What we built for Electronic Arts

  • ea.com redesign
  • Exodus microsite engine
  • Game microsites (11+ titles)
  • origin.com frontend
  • Origin desktop client UI
  • OOP component library

INNOV8 was formed in September 2009 specifically to serve Electronic Arts under a direct MSA — the founding engagement that put the practice on the map and carried it to over $1M in annual revenue. The relationship ran four years across four architecturally distinct products: the full ea.com redesign and its custom object-oriented component library, the Exodus Template System (a skinnable microsite engine that launched 11+ game titles on Digital River), the complete frontend for origin.com, and the entire UI layer of the Origin desktop client — EA’s answer to Steam, built on Chromium + HTML5 and C++.

The EA case study covers all four products, the founding-company story, and the two forward relationships the engagement seeded: David Rolland’s move to Barnes & Noble carried INNOV8 with him into the Nook web reader, and Jerimy Abner’s recommendation became one of the practice’s defining professional endorsements.
