Ford Website Redesign — Web hero shot

MXM brought INNOV8 in as a premier engineering vendor for the ford.com redesign and full platform migration to Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) — Ford’s enterprise CMS backbone for global web properties.

The scope spanned the core public-facing surfaces of ford.com: the home page, the global navigation and footer (shared across every page of the site), and two interactive Angular SPAs — Locate a Dealer (geographic search for authorized Ford dealers) and Build & Price (the vehicle configurator, a distinct engagement from the later Ford Lincoln Build & Price engagement that ran under RPA). Each SPA was built on Angular with Bootstrap for responsive layout, integrating against Ford’s backend APIs for inventory and dealer data.

The AEM migration was the load-bearing technical challenge: converting a large-scale automotive site from its legacy CMS to AEM required restructuring page templates, rewriting component authoring interfaces, and ensuring the new components were modular enough for Ford’s regional content teams to maintain without engineering support. INNOV8’s frontend work sat inside that migration — every component built to AEM’s template and component architecture, every interaction layer tested across the breakpoints Ford’s mobile-first audience demanded.

The engagement ran from late 2014 through October 2015, spanning the first phase of Ford’s AEM adoption on the consumer-facing web properties.

Have something worth building together?
