Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark

Buddha Jones — a media agency known for crafting theatrical trailers for major studio releases — brought INNOV8 in for the digital campaign supporting the film Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark (Miramax, 2011), the dark fantasy horror film produced by Guillermo del Toro.
The two-week engagement delivered an interactive media campaign website timed to the film’s theatrical release window. Campaign sites for horror films have a specific design contract: they exist to create atmosphere and drive ticket purchases, not to inform. INNOV8 built the frontend to that brief — immersive, high-fidelity visual execution on a hard deadline tied to the studio’s release calendar.
